I love books. They can take me away from dysfunctional situations or frustrated feelings and just help me relax. Whenever I need to go somewhere else, I can just pick up a book and lose myself in it. Great type of book to do this with is the fluffy teen romances scattered throughout the teen shelves at the book store. You know the type; they have cheesy covers, strangely entertaining plots that depend a lot on coincidence, and many various authors, but are never part of a series. Most recently I read Suite Dreams by Rachel Hawthorne. I have a few of her teen romances and they're usually pretty fun. This one is about this girl in college in Vermont. Her sort-of boyfriend swapped couches with student from Australia and he ends up sleeping on the girl's couch instead. Review is under the cut and no spoilers this time.
This was a really sweet little story. I loved Jude and his outlook on life. I wish I had an Aussie sleeping on my couch to help me have some fun. I feel like I never really do anything. This was a great romance book for someone who needed something light and fun. I zipped right through it and had a great time reading it. I do think Alyssa is a little crazy to spend her winter break taking classes though. That's just insane..
