Book Review: Legend byJude Deveraux

red_reaperI picked up this book when I was at a bead store in Nye Beach because it didn't mention the Montgomery family. I know that the Montgomery's show up in a bunch of Jude Deveraux's series and I didn't want to read it out of order so I found this one which had no mention of the family at all. I don't exactly know how I feel about this book, but the review is under the cut. Beware of the spoilers
This book was rather odd. I'd probably give it a 3.5 out of five actually. The time travel thing was done nicely, but it was still sort of strange. I always got a weird vibe off of Cole. Like he was harsh and devious, but then he was sweet and adorable. It was sort of hard to follow I did not like how Kady met Ruth and suddenly Cole had actually never lived. That was awful. I did like Kady's huge feast for all of Legend though. That was fun to read about. And I think one thing that threw me off about this book was that I didn't know who I was rooting for Kady to end up with. There was a set, this is who she's meant to be with from the beginning. We didn't meet Tarik until close to the end, so that was hard for me. The end of the book is great, how they save Legend and all. Although we still don't know what happened to Wendell. Don't know if I'd read this one again.
